Hybrid work location between on-site and remote (local to the Charlotte, NC area)

Pay Range

$38.20 - $57.30

Plans, organizes and implements activities and events to promote awareness of and build financial support for Stanly Health Services using proven and professionally accepted fundraising methods.

Participates in a wide range of Foundation activities at a management level and oversees and facilitates various Foundation programs and activities as assigned.

Essential Functions

  • Performs in a leadership role as Foundation Administrator.

  • Evaluates changing trends in philanthropy to develop new programs responsive to fundraising trends.

  • Supervises and plans the activities of the designated Foundation Communications Team, including serving as performance reviewer for select members of the team.

  • Maintains and enhances relationships with volunteer committees.  Recruits and educates prospective committee volunteers on an on-going basis.

  • Oversees donor stewardship process for Foundation.

  • Oversees the weekly disbursement process, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of all disbursements processed by Foundation Senior Staff Assistant.

  • Prepares grant correspondence to the System departments for new grants approved by the Foundation VP, President, and/or Board.

  • Serves as compliance officer to ensure that all Foundation solicitations are conducted in compliance with HIPAA requirements.

  • Assists in maintaining investment management, real estate, and banking relationships.

  • Facilitates facilities and equipment upgrades and maintenance, facility moves, and related items.

Education, Experience and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, business administration or related field required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising is recommended, preferably in a health care setting.

  • Excellent spelling and grammar skills required

  • Excellent people skills required

  • Leadership experience highly preferred

  • Writing background preferred

Physical Requirements


Frequent movement among campus buildings and facilities is part of normal daily function. Required to work in a variety of locations and under varied conditions. Must be able to adjust work schedule on demand and must be able to easily negotiate.
