Love coffee? Join our roasting team and turn your passion for coffee into a craft. As a Coffee Roaster (Production Technician – Roasting), you’ll bring precision and care to every batch—operating roasting equipment, monitoring roast profiles, and ensuring quality meets our highest standards.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced production environment where consistency and craftsmanship meet production. You’ll work in a team-driven environment where precision and pride matter. We’ll teach you the art and science of roasting and help you grow your skills as you master your craft.

If you’re detail-oriented, motivated, and passionate about great coffee, this is your chance to make every roast count.

* Note that this role will train on 1st shift (7:30 am-4:00 pm), then move to second shift (3:30 pm-12 am).

What You Will Do:

  • Operate roasting and grinding equipment to meet daily production schedules.

  • Maintain top-tier quality and food safety by following all QC checks, documentation, and procedures.

  • Collaborate closely with your team to meet goals safely and efficiently.

  • Communicate equipment or process issues to the appropriate departments for quick resolution.

  • Take ownership of cleanliness, maintenance, and continuous improvement at your station.

  • Taste, evaluate, and refine—participate in cuppings and sensory sessions to keep every roast true to its profile.

  • Participate in development opportunities to grow your technical roasting and production expertise.

Who You Are:

  • A hands-on, detail-oriented problem solver with a passion for coffee and craftsmanship.

  • A dependable team player who takes pride in precision and quality.

  • Adaptable, motivated, and always eager to learn something new.

  • Someone who values safety, collaboration, and doing things the right way—every time.

What You Bring:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent with at least 1 year of production experience as a machine technician or in operations leadership preferred.

  • A strong interest—or prior experience—in the coffee industry (barista, roaster, or similar) is a plus. Prior experience with Caribou or Peet's Coffee is a big plus.

  • Reliability, curiosity, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves (and occasionally work Saturdays).
