Vantor is seeking a Data Analyst to closely support our mission partners which will have a direct impact on mission imperatives. You will work closely with software developers, other data SMEs, as well our infrastructure and cybersecurity teams leveraging open-source tools to create and maintain a diverse range of applications.  

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for performing and developing data evaluation and assessment efforts. 

  • Shaping data engineering approaches for analytic tradecraft improvements with our applications. 

  • Identifying and documenting gaps within our data corpus and analytical capabilities. 

  • Working hand-in-hand with software developers to field requirements and provide feedback as changes are implemented into an application. 

  • Working with end-users to provide SME support for various data or application questions and requests.  

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI and be willing and able to obtain a CI polygraph. 

  • At least 5 years of experience as a data analyst, data scientist or similar. 

  • Must be able to work on-site in Hendon, VA, with the ability to work in Springfield, VA as needed. 

  • Experience formulating a repeatable process for data evaluations and communicating findings to government officials.  

  • In-depth knowledge of technical data types based on previous research and work with data sets of interest. Data types of interest include Technical Telemetry Data and other forms of telecommunication protocol data types, including cellular and wi-fi.  

  • Experience working with Software Engineers to provide feedback and validate the technical implementation for custom applications. 

  • Experience working with a scripting language like Python, SQL, Spark, PySpark or similar.

● The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $118,000.00 - $196,000.00 annually.

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
