Pay Range

$25.30 - $37.95

POSITION SUMMARY

The Cancer Registrar oversees the day-to-day operations of the Cancer Registry. This individual obtains information on diagnosed cancer cases on a continuous basis, according to the American College of Surgeons recommended procedures, and functions using the framework of the organization’s policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION REQUIRED

Associate’s degree or equivalent or equitable experience

Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology and various medical specialties Working knowledge of daily operations in the Cancer Registry Department Thorough understanding of ICD-O coding system and TNM staging process

EDUCATION PREFERRED

Certified Tumor Registrar/ Oncology Data Specialist

Understanding of Floyd Medical Center’s current cancer abstracting prog
