2721 N Central Ave, Phoenix, Arizona 85004 United States of AmericaJoin the U-Haul Legal Department and take a critical role in supporting legal operations and compliance. We are seeking a highly motivated, and detail-oriented Staff Assistant responsible for responding to law enforcement inquiries, government agency requests, and legal documentation needs. This position requires strong organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to manage sensitive information in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to formal and informal legal and law enforcement requests for information, including subpoenas, warrants, preservation notices, and disclosure demands.
Gather, review, and organize documents to ensure compliance with court orders and agency requirements.
Research and retrieve original U-Haul equipment and storage documentation for legal inquiries.
Manage an assigned caseload, tracking deadlines and ensuring timely responses.
Prepare, print, and redact confidential documents for submission to law enforcement and regulatory agencies.
Request and review of claim office files and related documents for accuracy and completeness.
Perform document management tasks, including copying, scanning, and digital filing.
Assist with special projects and provide general administrative support to the Legal Department.
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent required; additional education preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) a plus.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Prior experience in a legal, law enforcement, or administrative support role preferred but not required.
