About the role

The Instructional Design Intern within the Client Experience Design team will play a hands-on role in shaping learning experiences for nearly 1,000 Claims and Client Services employees. The intern will collaborate with experienced instructional designers and subject matter experts to plan and update self-paced and instructor-led training courses. This internship offers a unique opportunity for a student to apply academic knowledge in a corporate setting, gain exposure to insurance operations, and contribute to impactful learning initiatives.

Responsibilities:
- Partners with training specialists, project team members, or business area to conduct in-depth job task analysis and / or needs assessments to identify business goals, instructional objectives and determine training solutions. Develops design proposal outlining how proposed learning solutions will meet business goals.
- Applies knowledge of adult learning and instructional design theory to design course plans and e-learning modules. Works collaboratively with training specialists to design and implement the training solution.
- Designs assessments to measure participant progress during and after training. Analyzes data to identify trends for management reporting and potential additional training needs.

Do you have what we're looking for?

  • Required skills - Business writing, communication, basic instructional knowledge, time management
  • Preferred skills - Teaching experience, Visual design / video development experience, basic project management
  • Must be able to work full-time hours from late May 2026 to early August 2026. The internship may be extended part-time through fall 2026 and spring 2027.
  • Graduation date of August 2026 or later.
