ICF is seeking a SAMPLE CUSTODIAN to support an EPA contract, Environmental Services Assistance Team (ESAT) in Port Orchard, Washington location is a federal government lab.
This team performs soil, water, air, waste and tissue sample analysis for chemical contaminants primarily supporting Superfund site assessment, remediation, and emergency response but also for compliance under the Safe Drinking Water Act and the Clean Water Act. The team supports EPA’s ambient air monitoring programs through sampling air for Pb and particulates and auditing ambient air analyzers for ozone, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, and nitrous oxide under the Clean Air Act.
Job Description:
ICF is looking for SAMPLE CUSTODIAN who will be responsible for performing all the different aspects of shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and logging, archiving, and preparing for disposal of samples. Duties include opening coolers and inspecting contents of shipments, checking documentation to ensure contents of cooler are accurately listed, distributing sample containers to appropriate storage locations, entering the information into a laboratory information management system (LIMS) and organizing spent samples for disposal. The position requires strict adherence to standard operating procedures, health and safety policies and practices, and quality control requirements. Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment including, but not limited to, eye safety glasses, gloves, and other personal protective equipment. The Sample Custodian ensures that work area is clean and organized including storing, restocking supplies, and shelving samples as necessary. Duties may also include assisting with sample preparation and laboratory analysis. The successful candidate must be able to work both independently and as member of a team of chemists and technicians.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$60,927.00 - $103,576.00Washington Client Office (WA88)
