Job Description:
The Insurance Underwriter is responsible for managing UPS Capital’s current book of business. He/She analyzes performance trends and gathers data to properly rate and add special conditions to underperforming policies or when making modifications to a customers’ policy. This position ensures quality and adherence to departmental underwriting guidelines, evaluates potential risk, processes insurance quotes. The insurance underwriter will work with many internal and external stakeholders including sales, claims, billing, AIG Insurance Company, and more. He/She processes financial risk analysis utilizing Excel spreadsheets and answers in depth policy related questions. This position participates in training and communications and provides support to the underwriting staff.
This is a hybrid position based out of our Alpharetta, Georgia office location at Morris Road. This is NOT a remote opening.
This role will require the achievement of a Georgia Property & Casualty Insurance license (as supported by UPS Capital)
