Seeking Bed Control Coordinator!

Baptist Health Floyd, Staffing Office/Bed Control

Part-Time (24 Hours/Week), 2nd Shift (11:00a-8:30p), Every weekend plus a Friday or Monday

Job Duties:
This position provides pre-admission screening for level of care, facilitates bed placement for admitted patients, functions as an admission liaison with physician offices, and expedites patient transfers from outlying hospitals with the goal of appropriate resource utilization.  It also maintains optimum patient flow throughout the hospital.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Typing, office equipment, and computer skills required.

At least 2 years of prior work experience with insurance verification, in a medical office setting, or the use of medical terminology.
