Job Description:

Cardiac Cath Lab Cardiovascular Tech for Electrophysiology Procedure Area

• Four 10-hour shifts per week – hours may vary depending on EP schedule. 
• The shift hours are 0700-1730. 

Under the direction of a physician, coordinates x-ray exposure of patients. Assists with patient care during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures including but not limited to cardiac, peripheral, structural heart, and electrophysiology procedures performed. These procedures may occur within the cardiovascular department and Hybrid Lab in the Surgery Department. Consider the special needs of the populations served as indicated. Creates a positive customer service environment.

Duties:

• Follows the prescribed techniques in administering fluoroscopy and Cineradiography.
• Sets up, operates, and troubleshoots equipment.
• Operates cardiovascular hemodynamic recording equipment.
• Maintains supplies in procedure rooms populations served as indicated.

Requirements:

• BLS and ACLS required
• Certification recognized by the Kentucky Board of Radiation is required.
• Must have ARRT & KBMIRT licenses for Radiology Tech
• Preferred experience in Cardiovascular procedures
