PCT, Nursing Assistant II

Full-Time I Third Shift

Emergency Department I Hamburg

Observation services are provided to selected emergency department patients specifically “to determine the need for inpatient admission”, where an inpatient is a patient, whose care is expected to cross “two midnights". Features extended care, testing/treatment, impatient comfort, assessment for admission or discharge.

Description:

• Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or other licensed care team member, the Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Tech (PCT/HUC): 
• Provides direct patient care and related support by performing selected nursing procedures. 
• Routine duties to assist medical and nursing personnel in the examination, treatment, and care of patients. 
• Maintains work area to ensure efficient operation and workflow.
• Supports and demonstrates knowledge of organizational compliance policies.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent 
• Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification (SRNA, CNA) required or letter from school verifying the completion of first year clinicals. 
• BLS/ACLS.
