About the Unit:
The Cardiovascular unit has an additional 12 beds (CVU) which provides intermediate care to cardiac surgery patients directly following open-heart recovery. Nurses care for cardiac surgery patients through the post-op phase until discharge.
Job Summary:
The Charge Nurse is an entry-level management position responsible for the coordination of care on designated shifts. He/she will provide leadership to the staff members of the unit in the area of patient care.
Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required:
Active Kentucky RN license
Two years relevant patient care experience required.
BCLS Required within 90 days
ACLS Required within 6 months
