Job Description:

Cardiology - Echo Sonographer

Full-Time - 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. Shift hours may vary between 0700-1700

Weekday call times are Mon-Fri 1700-0630

Weekends and holiday on call times are 1630-0630. Weekends and holidays are rotated equally amongst staff.

Job Description:

Under the direction of a cardiologist, performs diagnostic sonographic procedures at a technical level, not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.

Job Duties:

• Selects appropriate equipment and proper technical factors on an individual patient basis according to specific orders and part of body examined.
• Provides technical skills as required for testing (Intravenous access and contrast administration).
• Provides immobilization as required and protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
• Reviews patient chart and results of previous diagnostic studies and records patient’s personal and medical information.

Requirements:

• Technical Diploma required / Ultrasound preferred.
• 1 year of experience can substitute for a Technical Diploma.
• ARDMS or CCI board certification or Echocardiography or Vascular Certification required within 1 year of employment.

Preferred Requirements:

• BLS Certification
• Pediatric experience
