Cardiac Rehab Coordinator

Full-Time I First Shift  

Cardiovascular Lab I Lexington, KY

The Noninvasive Lab is a specialized department within a healthcare facility dedicated to performing diagnostic tests and supporting improved quality of life for patients. This unit, composed of registered nurses, nuclear medicine technicians, sonographers, and exercise physiologists, provides high-quality care to assist physicians in diagnosing, managing, and treating cardiovascular conditions. Additionally, our Cardiac Rehab program helps patients recover and improve their heart health following a cardiac event.

Description:

  • Coordinator of Cardiac Rehab will ensure appropriate patient care management and adjust daily operation to meet the needs of a changing working environment.
  • Responsible for both Inpatient and Outpatient clinical workflows of Phase II, III and PAD exercise programs.
  • Directs human and physical resources to achieve an established standard of care.
  • Exercises professional judgment in performance of duties and maintain a demeanor complementary to medical ethics.
  • Position entails direct patient care, as the individual spends >50% of time coordinating, ensuring and providing direct patient care activities on the unit through provision of nursing rounds, assessments and treatments; facilitating admission, transfer and discharge activities; provision of patient and family-centered education; care coordination and individualized treatment planning as applicable.
  • Supporting the director, Coordinator directs and develops staff; collaborates with physicians, offices, and multidisciplinary professional staff.
  • Daily supervision of human and physical resources to achieve a high standard of patient care.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Two years of experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. If not already certified, must obtain BLS within 30 days of their hire date.
  • Graduate with a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, current Exercise Physiologist or bachelor’s degree in nursing with current RN Licensure in Kentucky.
