Job Profile SummaryEssential Duties & Responsibilities - Within the philosophy, objectives and policies of Capital Caring Health, carries out the following essential functions:
Performs quality-control measures for all items related to the development database. These include: Maintenance/development of coding structure in Raiser’s Edge, adding/deleting codes on an as-needed basis in order to facilitate record retrieval in report formats. Verification for accuracy of type codes (individual, corporate, congregation, etc.) as well as media codes (direct mail codes, special event codes, etc.). Maintenance of standard entry procedures for new account information (ex: standard abbreviations in names and addresses to avoid duplication of records). Verification of cash entry as compared to end-of-month reports for accuracy in posting, coding and reporting.
Organization/Regulatory Compliance:
Enters/changes account information in the development computer system as needed:
Daily addition of new donor names/addresses according to the pre-mentioned standard format for accounts
Assignment of all appropriate codes to accounts on a daily basis
Immediate processing of “deceased card” information, which includes:
removal of deceased from active donor list
addition of family member to active donor list (properly coded as family, with date of death in miscellaneous date)
addition of record to memorial/tribute maintenance
Removal of duplicate records as needed
People/Communications:
Monitors and participates in the processing of all donations through cash and pledge entry in Raiser’s Edge. Responds to notes and inquiries from donors and codes records accordingly. Monitors batches for payment on account, alerting the accountant and adjusting total accordingly. Processes donations (thank-you notes and notifications) with 95% accuracy, within 6 days of date of deposit. Monitors appropriateness of thank-you letters relative to purpose of the gift and distributes for signature accordingly. Receives and acts upon all inquiries regarding the donation process by donors and family members.
Financial Stewardship:
Achieves expected productivity standard as defined by the organization and in alignment with best practices and the Capital Caring Health Model. Provides development reports/labels/analysis on an as-needed basis, assuring for accuracy of information. Performs regular system maintenance:
Monitors and maintains necessary level of supplies related to the processing of donations and use of development printer(s).
Manage work flow for development volunteers on a daily basis, including monitoring work and making assignments.
Makes recommendations to Database Manager regarding changing needs/uses of development database.
Trains new personnel as needed.

Experience Requirements
The Resource Development Information Specialist must have at least 2 years of data entry and maintaining database/records experience.
Experience with Raiser's Edge software preferred
Education Requirements:
The Resource Development Information Specialist must have at least a high school diploma or GED. A Bachelors degree in a related field is preferred.

Works in business office with computers, printers, copy/fax machines and telephones. The noise level in the work environment is usually light to moderate. The environmental conditions are that of what is to be expected in a temperature-controlled building.
Compensation Pay Range:
$19.68 - $28.34This position requires consent to drug and/or alcohol testing after a conditional offer of employment is made, as well as on-going compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Policy.
