About the role

The Workday HCM Systems Consultant partners with stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs, recommend practical options, and deliver effective solutions in Workday Human Capital Management (HCM). This role owns work from intake and requirements through hands-on configuration, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. The consultant works closely with HR, IT, and business partners to improve the employee lifecycle experience by streamlining processes, enhancing reporting and insights, and ensuring solutions are compliant, user-friendly, and consistently adopted. This position will also mentor and support system analysts by providing Workday guidance and helping build day-to-day capability in the system.

How does this role make an impact?

  • Analyzes and designs business systems ensuring alignment with business processes, enterprise strategy, and continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Configures and tests system solutions, optimizing functionality and resolving complex issues across integrated business processes and data structures.
  • Implements and deploys new system features, enhancements, and integrations with existing systems, for optimized usability, compliance and performance. 
  • Designs and develops insights and reports to support decision-making.
  • Prepares and presents solution recommendations, configuration strategies, and system improvement plans to stakeholders to ensure alignment and adoption across the business.
  • Serves as an escalation resource for business system issues, providing advanced technical support and consultation.

Do you have what we're looking for?

  • 8+ years of experience in HRIS or enterprise applications, including delivery and support of HR technology solutions.

  • 5+ years of hands-on Workday HCM configuration and production support (Core HCM plus at additional areas such as Compensation, Absence, Benefits, Talent, Learning, and/or Payroll).

  • Experience developing and supporting Workday reporting and analytics to meet business needs.

  • Experience leading work end-to-end (requirements, configuration, testing, and deployment) with clear communication.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including resolving complex issues in production.

  • Consultative approach with the ability to gather requirements and recommend solutions.

  • Workday Pro certification is preferred, specifically in Workday HCM Core or related modules such as Absence, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Compensation, Learning, Payroll, Recruiting, Talent, or Time Tracking.

  • Experience working in organizations using the full Workday suite (HCM and Finance) is preferred

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results with minimal direction.

  • Strong communication skills, ability to influence outcomes, and willingness to mentor/support system analysts as they build Workday knowledge.

  • Ability to work independently, determine approach on new assignments, and coordinate activities of others or lead functional teams/projects when needed.

  • Ability to present to stakeholders and executive leadership, and lead through change, ambiguity, and conflict.

Base Pay Range:

$113,200-$155,650

The base pay range represents the typical range of potential salary offers for candidates hired. Factors used to determine your actual salary include your specific skills, qualifications and experience.

Incentive Pay:

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a Short-Term Incentive plan.
