Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering nutritious meals and exceptional service within a healthcare or senior living setting. Your efforts will directly contribute to the well-being and comfort of residents and patients, supporting their health and happiness through quality food service.

Job Details

  • Wage: $16.50/hour
  • Full-time and part-time positions available
  • Day/Evening/Morning shifts available
  • Location: Knoxville Rehabilitation Center 1250 Tennova Medical Way Knoxville, TN 37909

Responsibilities

  • Complete nutritional assessments for patients to create care plans with nutritional goals
  • Document assessment of patients with nutritional goals and interventions in the medical record
  • Provide oversight for patient services and production staff and monitor meal service
  • Ensure patient preferences are recorded on meal tickets and that all meals and snacks adhere to the resident’s needs
  • Adhere to the facility’s health and safety policies and procedures
  • Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged standing and walking continuously, frequent stooping, bending and lifting up to 40 pounds
  • Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job

Skills

  • Experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper handling procedures
  • Ability to manage time efficiently while multitasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of meal preparation, food service, and basic culinary techniques
  • Excellent customer service skills with a caring attitude towards residents or patients
  • Familiarity with food handling regulations and kitchen safety standards
  • Prior dietary aide or food service experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
