Summary
The Payroll Supervisor is responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant execution of payroll operations across the U.S. This role provides hands-on leadership of payroll processing, supports critical compensation events (including merit and bonus payouts), and ensures adherence to federal, state/provincial, and local regulations. This position plays a key role in maintaining payroll integrity, enhancing processes, and partnering closely with HR, Finance, and external vendors to deliver a seamless employee experience.What You'll Do
What You Need
Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or other related field.
Required Experience: Minimum 5 years of payroll processing experience including multi-state U.S. payroll; Preferred: 1–2 years of experience providing supervisory support.
Certifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC)
Travel: less than 10%
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Advanced knowledge of payroll laws and regulations (Federal, State, and Local); Proficiency in HRIS systems, particularly Workday; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; Leadership and team management capabilities; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Knowledge of 401(k) administration and benefits management; Experience with payroll audits and compliance requirements; Ability to handle confidential information with discretion; Advanced Excel skills and reporting capabilities
