Salary: £34,101 per annum, plus company benefits

Location: London, E1

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Shifts: 40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm with 1 hour lunch unpaid

Work model: Fully onsite

Williams Lea seeks a Senior Workplace Operator to join our team!

Purpose of role

We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled Senior Workplace Operator to join our team, supporting our client—a prestigious US law firm in London. This role is a key part of our onsite operations, providing exceptional soft FM services including office services, front-of-house support, and general facilities management assistance. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, adaptable, and confident working both independently and alongside the client.

Key responsibilities

Soft Facilities Management:

  • Deliver high-quality office services including mail handling, printing, copying, binding, and stationery management.
  • Act as first point of contact for internal clients for office services queries, ensuring timely and professional responses.
  • Support the Facilities Management (FM) team with general site tasks and day-to-day operational requirements including meeting room setups for meetings and events.
  • Fleet management, ensuring print MFD's are in excellent working order and monthly meter readings are taken daily.

Front of House Support:

  • Assist with reception cover and client-facing activities as needed.
  • Ensure all visitors and internal stakeholders are greeted professionally and supported efficiently.
  • Maintain a tidy, professional, and welcoming office environment.

General Duties:

  • Monitor, report, and escalate any facilities issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with the Account Manager to ensure service standards and KPIs are consistently met.
  • Support ad hoc projects or initiatives as required to enhance operational efficiency.

Personal attributes

  • Previous experience in a multi-skilled FM or office services role, ideally in a corporate or legal environment.
  • Experience in soft FM services, including mail, print, stationery, and reception.
  • Comfortable supporting FM teams onsite with general operational tasks.
  • Self-motivated, confident, and able to work independently while maintaining high standards.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Proactive problem solver who can identify opportunities to improve service delivery.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively and prioritise tasks under minimal supervision.
  • Flexible and adaptable, comfortable balancing multiple responsibilities.
  • Professional appearance and client-focused approach
