$63,003.00 - $80,600.00The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Responsibilities:
The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester invites applications for a full-time therapist position to join its Healing through Health Education, Advocacy, and Law (HEAL) Collaborative team. HEAL Collaborative is an integrated team-based approach to caring for individuals dealing with interpersonal abuse and trauma, especially intimate partner violence. The therapist time assigned to the HEAL Collaborative includes providing assessment, safety planning, short-term psychotherapy (6-12 months), collaboration, and referral to adult patients aged 18 yrs. and older who have been victims of interpersonal violence, trauma, or victimization. Therapeutic modalities may include problem solving therapy, CBT, IPT, or other evidence-based trauma-informed approaches. The therapist may also link the patient with a provider who can meet specific identified needs. The successful candidate will have expertise in evidence-based trauma-focused treatments, will be skilled in collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and committed to addressing mental health inequities. We are seeking a qualified master’s level candidate (LCSW or LCSW-R, LMFTs, or MHCs) and strong clinical and diagnostic skills to join our vibrant team. The therapist provides brief mental health services for individuals who have a diagnosable mental illness, functions as the primary clinician and is responsible for assessment, treatment planning, therapy/counseling, and education services for patients and families. The therapist also provides coverage for other Division of Collaborative Care and Wellness Programs as needed. Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds required.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
