$35.35 - $45.96The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Responsibilities:
The Level II Registered Nurse, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards. The Level II Registered Nurse contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. The Level II Registered Nurse supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.Child/Adolescent Partial Hospitalization, Pediatric Behavioral Health & Wellness, & Brighter Days Pediatric Urgent Care
FT 40 hours 7:30am-4:30pm (Hours can vary between clinics)
The Pediatric Float Nurse will play a vital role in supporting multiple programs within Ambulatory Psychiatry, including Pediatric Behavioral Health & Wellness, Brighter Days Pediatric Urgent Care, and the Child Partial Hospitalization Program. These clinics provide comprehensive mental health care for young people up to age 18, working as part of an interdisciplinary team that includes therapists and medication providers.While each program has its unique focus, the overarching responsibilities of the Pediatric Float Nurse include: Triaging complex patient presentations, which may involve medically related concerns, and psychosocial needs.Conducting patient assessments and completing health screenings Administering medications (where applicable), managing medication refills, and handling prior authorizations. Providing patient and family education tailored to individual treatment plans.One-year psychiatric experience required. Requires NYS RN license.
