Location: Sunrise, Florida
The Distribution Center Associate II is responsible for preparing all customer order types (store replenishments and E-Commerce) while operating powered equipment, including but not limited to product selection, staging, internal replenishments, sorting, loading, and unloading of trucks utilizing powered equipment (forklift). Other duties could include receiving, stocking and general housekeeping. All associates are responsible for maintaining a safe work environment by following all safety policies and standards and completing specified safety training.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Select product accurately and damage free, while operating material handling equipment (MHE).
- Select product in an efficient manner while meeting appropriate productivity expectations and standards.
- Ensure product and or tote is properly labeled.
- Load, unload, pick, put away, consolidate, stack and stage products while using a forklift, or other power equipment.
- Follow all distribution center standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Operate and use multiple shipping applications to support company ECommerce platform.
- Assist with physical inventories and other inventory related items.
- Ensure work area remains clean and safe, while following all safety practices.
- Maintain proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and safe lifting techniques
- Perform other duties that do not involve any power equipment (MHE) within the distribution center.
- Obtain internal MHE certification for powered equipment within the first five days on the job.
- Safely and efficiently operate one or all MHE equipment types which include but not limited to, order selector, forklift, reach truck, and electric pallet jack (EPJ).
Qualifications:
- Ability to work weekends, holidays.
- Able to work <10 hours within a single shift if needed.
- Must be eighteen years of age or older.
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
- Must be able to continuously stand or walk and be able to lift/handle/carry product or equipment of moderate weight (<50 pounds).
Education and/or Experience:
- MHE Fork-lift Experience (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent certification preferred.
- 6+ months of warehouse experience preferred.

Computer or other skills:
- Computer skills, including Outlook, and basic functions such as using a printer, mouse, and keyboard.
- Use of a calculator and ability to perform simple math.
- Read, write, and identify and verify numbers.

Work is performed in a warehouse environment. While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer/vendor and employee communication. Access, input, and retrieve information from the computer system; enter alpha-numeric data into a computerized system. Physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of his/her job such as sitting/standing for extended periods of time, bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, and possible lifting to 50 pounds.
