Responsibilities:

FNP or PA

FT position available (40 hours).  Monday-Friday, 10 hour days a possibility after orientation

We are looking for a highly motivated, independent, Advanced Practice Provider to become an integral part of our inpatient consult adult Urology practice. Patient population consists primarily of general and oncologic urology.  As a member of the urology surgery team, the APP will be the primary team member responsible for managing urology consults during their shift. Responsibilities include evaluation of patients spanning the lifespan, orders necessary tests, and communicating to other members of team. Strong communication and clinical skills required.  The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training. Certified NYS NP, MS degree required or Certified NYS PA required. Urology experience preferred

Qualifications:

Nurse Practitioner

Require a Master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner, an active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing, an active New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing and current national certification as an Nurse Practitioner.

Physician Assistant

Required completion of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program, an active New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing and current national certification as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)

NPs and PAs will demonstrate clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relation skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training.
