The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities:

Full time position—Monday-Friday daytime hours, no weekends, no call

Unique, challenging opportunity to combine Employee Health and Workers Compensation injury/illness skills in the care of hospital employees and their affiliate institutions. Become a member of a collaborative team that provides care based upon evidence-based practice and NYS Workers Compensation medical treatment guidelines. 

Responsibilities include onboarding physical exams, treatment for blood borne pathogen exposures, work related contagion exposures, company requested evaluations, longitudinal treatment for work related injuries and illnesses: medication management, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, referrals for treatments-physical therapy, chiropractic treatment, referral to specialists and disability evaluations. Many opportunities for patients, employer and staff education. Work independently. Collaborate as needed with network-based physicians.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work in a team environment. Independent judgement and critical thinking. An NP with 2 or more years of adult NP experience is preferred, new graduates will be considered.

An NP orientation program is available for all new hires.

Credentials: NYS NP licensure and AANP/ANCC national certification is required prior to start date.

Nurse Practitioner

Require a Master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner, an active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing, an active New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing and current national certification as an Nurse Practitioner.

APPs will demonstrate clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relation skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training.
