The Department of Pediatric Sleep Medicine is actively seeking a team-oriented Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our growing team. This is a truly unique opportunity where your primary focus will be on learning to acquire sleep studies for our pediatric patients. With new advancements in sleep medicine and technology increasing public awareness of the importance of good sleep, the demand for skilled sleep technologists is on the rise. We are fully committed to your professional growth, and this role includes comprehensive training to become a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT); as part of this career path, you'll be required to complete the ASTEP training program modules within 12 months of hire, prepare for and successfully sit for the RPSGT exam, and then obtain NYS Licensure as a Polysomnographic Technologist within 18 to 24 months of hire. While pediatric experience is a plus, it is not mandatory. We are seeking an LPN with strong problem-solving, prioritization, and communication skills, as well as the flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of our patients and team members.
