Location: Lakeland, FL or Atlanta, GA

Description: The Senior Claims Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting of insurance claims impacting Saddle Creek’s insurance policies and monitoring and responding to daily requests from vendors that have been tasked with assisting in the management of claims. This position will be the first response to for all claims impacting the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Work in conjunction with all Third-Party Administrators (TPA) for Associate Injury, Vehicle, Property, and Freight related insurance claims
  • Maintain and archive Workers’ Compensation and General Liability claim files that document the fiduciary oversight of the claims management and settlement.
  • Ensuring all claims are received and submitted to the appropriate third-party administrator or insurance carrier in a timely manner with appropriate follow-up on missing information or needed investigation information.
  • Receive and compile claim status reports for any management or litigation requests, which includes the minutes of these meetings.
  • Initiate the reporting and filing of property damage claims with third-party companies and Saddle Creek customers to safeguard business relationships through quick and accurate handling.
  • Coordinate and process invoices with Finance and Operation partners to ensure prompt and accurate payment on claims.
  • Work with the Saddle Creek Claims Manager to identify and resolve subrogation opportunities.
  • Maintain, update, and develop requested reporting from the Risk Management Information System (RMIS) databases.
  • Participates in periodic training programs to keep informed of regulatory changes and trends.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure timely and accurate claims processing and resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to address subrogation matters and facilitate efficient invoice processing.
  • Actively participate in quarterly claims reviews and weekly Claims/Legal meetings to assess newly reported claims and monitor litigation timelines.
  • Contribute to monthly EHS Safety Council calls and facilitate Claims 101 training sessions for HR, Operations, and Transportation teams.
  • Travel as needed.
  • Perform other duties as needed and directed.

 Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in claims management, insurance, legal support, or related field, preferably within a transportation or logistics environment.
  • Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and coordinate cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of property damage claims, subrogation processes, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with experience participating in cross-departmental review meetings and training sessions.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree desired (High School Diploma or GED required)
  • Some experience with Worker's Compensation claims preferred, but related experience and skills acceptable
  • Prior experience in claims management, specifically handling Workers’ Compensation and Auto Liability.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Database and SharePoint Proficiency is preferred.
  • Must interact well with other Saddle Creek associates at all levels, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our safety programs.
