$52.16 - $78.23The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for all aspects of cardiovascular perfusion during adult and/or pediatric open heart surgery. Exercises a high degree of skill and judgment in operating and maintaining equipment, and an understanding of the principles and methodology of current perfusion techniques. Directs residents, interns, nursing personnel and respiratory therapists in the proper use of ECMO and VAD equipment in the intensive care units. Uses heart-lung machines (Sorin S5), membrane oxygenators, Hemochron machines, all tubing, filters and cannulas used in the bypass circuit, equipment used in autotransfusion, ventricular assist devices, ECMO, centrifugal pumps, blood gas analyzer and operation of the intra-aortic balloon pump.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
