$18.65 - $26.11The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
The individual will be part of a research team working to define how trafficking of proteins essential for communication between neurons (synaptic transmission) is altered in neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders. The lab utilizes both patient derived human neurons (iNeurons) as well as murine neurons carrying mutations/microdeletions associated with neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders neurons to address these questions. The lab uses a combination of cutting edge live-imaging techniques to quantify the trafficking of proteins essential for synaptic transmission, as well as whole-cell/optical electrophysiology to quantify how synaptic transmission is altered as a result of alterations in trafficking of proteins essential for synaptic function.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
