Responsibilities:

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Under the direction of leadership, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.

Full-time 40 hrs. Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts, primarily day shift, Weekdays

An excellent opportunity for a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join the team at Strong West Ambulatory Surgical Center in Brockport.  This full-time role offers a dynamic and supportive environment, focused on delivering high-quality, patient and family-centered care in a variety of surgical specialties.  ENT, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Pain Management, Breast Oncology, Gastrointestinal (GI), and Urology. Be part of a progressive surgical center offering diverse procedural experiences in a weekday/day shift setting. This role is ideal for nurses looking to grow in a supportive, high-performing team dedicated to patient care excellence and professional development. Provide safe, evidence-based perioperative care with a focus on clinical competence and surgical excellence. Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary surgical team to support optimal patient outcomes. Prioritize tasks, demonstrate flexibility, and maintain efficiency in a fast-paced setting. Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues. Cross-train to the Procedural GI area and Pre/Post areas.  Requires 12 months of  RN experience preferred, especially in surgical or procedural care, preoperative and postoperative care.
