Trust Asset ManagerJob Description Summary
Responsible for managing a growing portfolio of 40+ timber assets in the Pacific Northwest for an owner or client and fulfill the manager's obligations under the terms of the property's management agreement.Job Description
Monitor, and oversee the management of timberland activities including but not limited to timber sales, reforestation, road work, inventories, and boundary line maintenance
• Maintain strong relationships and partner with the bank to collaborate on short, intermediate and long-term real estate strategies that meet the objectives and goals of the bank’s client
• Prepare annual timberland budgets
• Develop strategies and recommendations for individual timber real estate assets and coordinate communication with both internal partners and external clients
• Present the status of goals and objectives on an ongoing basis
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships and networks with vendors, contractors, third party property managers, appraisers, brokers and other service providers to ensure timely and superior completion of all projects and deliverables
• Travel to timber real estate locations, client meetings and internal meetings on an as needed basis
• Maximize revenue, control expenses and enhance value on retained timber real estate assets
• Ensuring that the best possible value on acquisitions and dispositions is obtained
• Be proficient in lease, sale, and acquisition negotiations
• Prioritize and manage multiple complex projects in various stages with aggressive deadlines and timelines
• Obtain and maintain industry designations applicable to this position, fulfilling ongoing mandatory education and training requirements as necessary
• Meeting monthly and annual compliance and regulatory deadlines for annual reviews, inspections and triennial appraisals.
• Adhere to internal policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry; Masters preferred
Minimum 8 years forestry experience preferred
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Self-motivated and service-oriented with the ability to collect and process data and make sound timberland management decisions
