ABOUT THE ROLE 

Join us at Teton Outfitters as a Technical Apparel/Gear Intern and be a driving force in revolutionizing products for our powersports customers. Collaborate with our seasoned team of experts to create gear for our industry-leading Klim and/or 509 brands. From concept to completion, immerse yourself in every facet of the design and fit process, refining your skills and making impactful contributions along the way. 

INTERNSHIP SUMMARY 

Timeline: 12 weeks from May 2026 to August 2026

Work Schedule: 8-5pm. 40 hours per week.  

Location: Rigby, ID. Please note that relocation assistance is available, distance requirements apply. 

Pay: Paid hourly; rate depends on experience.

What You’ll Learn:

The Technical Apparel/Gear Internship is designed for future leaders who seek a culture built on innovative, passionate, and collaborative individuals. Our 12-week program allows you to have exposure to multiple facets of apparel development, production, and design to help you develop and define core areas of interest and strengths. Your assignments offer value-added deliverables that have a direct impact on developing new Klim and/or 509 products.

Interns who are hired will be matched to their specific intern role and team based on intern skillset, interest, and business need. Assignments could include experiences within product line management, design, development, product engineering, materials, or production teams focused on hard parts or soft goods.

As a Technical Apparel/Gear Intern, you will:  

  • Receive personalized goals and projects that align to business objectives and allow you to have a hand in key company initiatives.

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to design, develop and implement various apparel or hard parts projects.  

  • Take ownership of a product or project from start to finish. 

  • Receive exposure to senior leadership and opportunities to present. 

  • Participation in line reviews, material selection, design reviews, and fittings. 

  • Drive continuous improvements and problem solving for apparel roadblocks.  

Interns who demonstrate exceptional performance and a passion to learn may be offered an additional internship or a full-time position, depending on graduation date and business need.

REQUIREMENTS 

  • Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in Product Development, Technical Design, Textile Development, Fashion Design, or a related degree. 

  • Must be able to complete full 12-week internship working 40 hours per week (May - August 2026)  

  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0  

  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator. 

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.  

  • Proven strength in the following: analysis and creative problem solving, communication, interpersonal relationships, self-motivation, and leadership.  

  • The drive to actively contribute to both personal and company-wide goals through creative and innovative thinking.
