Job Purpose:
Our Director of Sales will be responsible for developing, leading and executing the business segment’s strategy and profitability, growing sales and gross profit annually. This role will lead a sales team and will collaborate with the Design, Sourcing, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations and Field Sales Teams to develop customer solutions that exceed expectations and uses first-hand customer information to drive programs and project success.Job Responsibilities:
● Lead a team of sales professionals to exceed customer expectations and grow the portfolio profitably each year, in collaboration with the Design Centers, Sourcing, Marketing, Operations and Field Sales Teams.Additional Responsibilities & Qualifications:
● 10+ years of packaging industry sales with extensive experience and service knowledge related to kitting and co-packing and selling at C-suite level, is required.
● Strong strategic planning capabilities.
● Proven track record of providing custom solutions based on providing value, not just a lower price, and profitable sales growth.
● Innovative problem solver; recognizing customer needs, providing alternatives and selling and implementing alternative solutions. The Sales Director will develop customer solutions that make the complex simple.
● Up to 50% travel may be necessary.
Work Experience:
● 3-5 years of related experience of successful supervisory/management experience required to motivate and develop direct reports, as well as size up new talent.● 5-10 years of related experience of successful management or supervisory experience within a large or national organization strongly preferred.Education:
● Master's Degree Preferred - Business Administration/Management● Bachelor's Degree Preferred - Business Administration/ManagementPhysical Requirements:
● A significant portion of the job responsibilities will require computer work that involves the continuous use of the fingers, hands, wrists, and sitting for long periods of time.
● The position also requires frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.
● The position requires work in an office as well as travel to customers, suppliers, group meetings, etc.
