Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of experience working with commercial or industrial compressed air systems and vacuum pumps.

• 2–3 years of related experience in commercial or industrial facility maintenance.

• Technical, vocational, or on-the-job training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or plumbing.

• High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or vocational/technical diploma preferred.

• EPA certification (current) or the ability and commitment to obtain certification.

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (commercial license may be required).

Experience

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair air compressor and vacuum pump systems with a high level of technical proficiency.

• Perform maintenance and repairs on large industrial air compressors, vacuum pumps, and related mechanical systems.

• Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of building systems and installed equipment, including:

  • Packaging and material handling machinery

  • Plumbing systems

  • Kitchen and shop equipment

  • Roofs, drains, and grounds equipment

  • HVAC systems

• Assist with the installation, modification, and upgrades of building equipment and mechanical systems.

• Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders, document repairs, and track maintenance activities.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.

• Provide technical support and collaboration with facilities and operations teams.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles in a safe and operational condition.

Required Technical Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical proficiency with:

  • Air compressor systems and vacuum pumps

  • HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems

• High level of comfort troubleshooting complex mechanical and electromechanical systems.

• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).

• Experience using work order management systems (CMMS).

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to work in industrial and mechanical environments.

• Capability to lift, carry, and maneuver tools and equipment as required.

• Willingness to respond to emergency repairs and work flexible hours when needed.
