Overview:
Stella McCartney is looking for an efficient, motivated methodical Stock Controller to join the Woodbury Commons store. The Stock Controller will have a 360 in their approach to effective stock management, working in conjunction with the store manager, the inventory control team and most importantly the shop floor to maximize sales and efficiency.
This role is vital to the day-to-day function and success of the store, the individual must be a great collaborator, a strong communicator and self-motivated to achieve exceptional results as part of a small but driven store. Independence, organization and agility will assist you in your pursuit for an exceptional back of house function, which allows a seamless transition between shop floor and stock room.
To be primarily responsible for the management of stock and the efficiency of the stockroom, thus aiding a productive and collaborative back of house, to enhance sales and the growth of the business.
Handling the stock accurately and with detail to maintain an exact and controlled environment for precise accounting of all items.
Your Mission:
Be responsible for physical organization of the stockroom, ensuring tidiness, efficiency and accuracy.
Physically receiving delivery – reporting and discrepancies immediately.
Checking the precision of the received stock to ensure all items entering the store are as expected and reporting any issues. EG miss labelling / damage / faulty.
Daily, weekly and monthly cycle counts of departments to ensure full accuracy of stock. Results are reported to inventory and finance team, results must consistently surpass the expected threshold.
Annually Physical inventory.
Open, track and close stock consignments.
Ordering and monitoring packaging and stationary in line with store requirements.
Manage and track after-sales request in a timely manner.
Identify faulty / damaged stock and align with company procedure.
Book and track UPS shipments.
Maintenance of stock / overstock levels – clearing excess stock, replenishment etc to assist with efficiency of shop floor standards during busy periods.
Assisting the team on the shop floor when required, to ensure shop floor is covered and all necessary task are completed.
Work consistently with the sales team to update, involve and educate team on day to day tasks / issues.
Work closely with the operations and inventory teams to ensure alignment and a collaborative working environment across EMEA stores.
To understand the store by taking time to analyze, read and be curious – reporting any opportunities to store management.
To propose tasks, plans, standards and habits to increase efficiency and success.
Open and closing of the store – following the company guidelines and reporting procedures.
Your talent:
Strong communications skills, fluent in English is a requirement, any other languages would be beneficial.
Excellent IT skills, including Excel, Teams and Outlook.
Previous knowledge of Retail Pro / Stealth would be advantageous.
Previous experience in managing stock at high volume / high value.
Ability to multitask, self-motivate and prioritize in busy environments, maximizing time.
Excellent communication skills both written and spoken.
Confident in collaborating and working independently.
Detailed and accuracy driven with a determination for exceptional results.
Methodical and logical, with a problem-solving aptitude.
Salary: $27-$28 per hour
