JOB SUMMARY

As a Mobile Lube Technician at Dolese, you will perform lubrication and basic maintenance activities on mobile equipment to support safe, reliable, and efficient field operations. This position focuses exclusively on mobile equipment used in an aggregate production environment. This role supports equipment upkeep by performing routine lubrication activities, servicing, and inspection tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Perform lubrication, oil changes, and fluid servicing on mobile equipment used in aggregate production environment, including loaders, excavators, dozers, haul units used within quarry operations, and related support equipment.
- Apply proper lubrication and fluid service techniques using correct lubricant types, quantities, and service intervals to prevent contamination and premature equipment failure.
- Follow established lubrication and service schedules for mobile equipment.
- Support routine maintenance activities by completing assigned lubrication and servicing tasks as scheduled.
- Install, repair, and replace lubrication-related grease lines, fittings, and lubrication delivery components.
- Perform inspections of mobile equipment during servicing to identify leaks, abnormal wear, contamination, or potential mechanical concerns.
- Observe equipment conditions during servicing and report abnormal findings or concerns to supervisor.
- Perform routine mobile equipment inspections and required pre‑shift/post‑shift inspections.
- Collect oil samples and document sampling activities in accordance with established procedures.
- Document lubrication activities, oil sampling, inspections, and maintenance tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
- Complete repair orders, service documentation, inspection reports, and lubrication records accurately and in a timely manner.
- Enter maintenance and service information into applicable systems or documentation tools as required.
- May assist mechanics with basic mobile equipment maintenance activities as needed, including component servicing or repair preparation.
- Maintain lubrication tools, fluid storage areas, and workspaces in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and operational rules, regulations, and procedures as set forth by company policies and applicable regulations.
- Follow company policies and local, state, and federal regulations for safe working procedures.
- Regular, reliable attendance at the assigned worksite.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Experience performing lubrication activities on mobile equipment, or experience in mobile equipment maintenance within an aggregate or similar industrial environment preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Basic knowledge of lubrication principles, fluid servicing practices, and contamination control for mobile equipment used in aggregate production environment.
- Knowledge of mobile equipment systems, including engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, differentials, and related components, to perform lubrication, servicing, and condition checks.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills with the ability to recognize early signs of equipment wear, leaks, or abnormal operating conditions.
- Ability to follow maintenance schedules and accurately document service activities.
- Ability to read, write, and complete basic maintenance documentation.
- Experience using or willingness to learn maintenance documentation systems and service records.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on equipment reliability and safety.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills to support servicing multiple pieces of equipment across locations.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with operators, mechanics, and supervisors.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety with a positive, proactive safety mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively with shop personnel, maintenance teams, and operations.
- Willingness to perform physical labor as required.
- Limited travel associated with assigned aggregate operations may be required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Lift objects of various dimensions and up to 75 lbs. occasionally and 50 lbs. frequently.
- Ability to repeatedly climb stairs and ladders.
- Ability to repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objects.
- Ability to use vibration producing tools frequently.
- Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather conditions.
- Ability to repeatedly reach, squat and tolerate prolonged standing/walking/sitting.
- Ability to frequently walk on uneven surfaces.
