JOB SUMMARY

Marymount University seeks to build a pool of qualified instructors to teach various courses in Music. The position will involve teaching one or two classes per semester, including our Pep Band course, and directing the band during athletic games and other events as arranged. Opportunities to teach courses in music history and theory may also be available. Qualified applicants will be contacted when the need arises.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Teach designated courses and must be committed to program development and monitoring course content and course implementation.

  • Maintains appropriate office hours and advises students on coursework.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education                                     

  • Master’s degree at minimum; PhD degree in related field preferred for graduate teaching.
