Job Summary:

The cloud engineer I provides level 2 support and trouble-shooting for cloud platforms. They will handle advanced, complex tasks such as upgrades, platform automation scripting, and setup of new tools with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Assist product teams with problem resolution

• Debug complex platform issues

• Perform platform upgrades and patching

• Platform automation

• Evaluate new products

Basic/Required Qualifications:

• Associates degree

• Minimum 2 years related work experience

• In lieu of Associates degree(s) AND 2 year(s) related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND 3 year(s) related work experience

Desired Qualifications:

• Previous Duke Energy experience

• Linux, Windows, Active Directory, Infrastructure as Code, Networking, Data Center Infrastructure

• Cloud platforms, Platform as a Service

• Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure

• BASH, Python, PowerShell, or other scripting language

• Containers, Micro-services

Working Conditions

• Virtual Mobility Classification - Work will be performed from a remote location after the onboarding period. However, virtual employees should live within a reasonable commute to a Duke Energy facility

Specific Requirements

• Server administration, scripting, working knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud and container technologies, micro-services, AWS or Azure,   Infrastructure as Code
