The Planner will support development of work packages to include:
Provide 30 Day and 6/9/12 Month material forecast for all regions.
Liaison to Supply Chain for, pick event requests, material deliveries, material call in and field support.
Monitor projects for adherence to current processes (72 hr. material inventory reviews, inventory returns, etc.).
Attend project team meetings to provide material status updates.
Provide material support for planned emergent and emergency work.
Single point of contact to C&M for material concerns for ongoing/upcoming project work.
Request delivery of materials using Maximo comm log tor delivery management system (DMS) tool.
Scheduling special equipment as needed (i.e., cranes).
Add all material to work order that is requested by C&M, engineering and other resources after WO approval.
Log the miss pick and/or missing material on reason log of work order.
Schedule excesses pick up with Transportation Coordinator.
The PGO Transmission Work Management Planner identifies critical materials requirements and keeps all PGO Transmission work groups informed of risk that could negatively impact project schedules.
The PGO Transmission Work Management Planner communicates and schedules with various work groups (i.e. Construction, Project Management, Energy Services, T&D Key Account Reps, Nuclear & Fossil Plants, etc.) to identify and coordinate high priority work.
The PGO Transmission Work Management Planner participate in project planning meetings with Project Management to develop a project plan for each capital construction project. Clarifies project scope, identifies and communicates materials risks.
Travel to work location(s) to develop work/project requirements, attend scoping meetings, pre-bid meetings, and/or pre-construction meetings, perform walk down of job sites, audit the effectiveness of the work packages and to ensure adequate parts, special tools, and special equipment is available.
Associates degree
In addition to required degree, five (5) years related work experience
In lieu of Associates degree(s) AND 5 year(s) related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND 7 year(s) related work experience
Bachelor’s degree
In addition to desired degree, 5 years related work experience
Working knowledge of work management system, e.g., Maximo, Delivery Management Schedule (DMW) Tool, P6, Adobe, Paper port, MS Office (word, excel, access, etc.). (Preferred)
Requires substantial specific knowledge in craft areas such as sub-station and line construction and materials procurement. (Preferred)
Hybrid – Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations. However, hybrid employees should live within a reasonable commute to the designated Duke Energy facility.
