The Analytics team is responsible for the development of CoStar's customer-facing Real Estate Analytics products.  We think big, creating innovative data-intensive applications that take the vast amount of data collected by our CoStar Research teams to create a fast, reliable and intuitive analytics platform for our customers.  We are a collaborative product development team, and we are growing rapidly to help invent the future of Real Estate Analytics.   

Skills & Qualifications 

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person institution in STEM, or comparable major graduating between December 2026 through June 2028
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA  
• Strategic thinker and problem solver with a proven ability to prioritize, negotiate, and execute to accomplish amazing things 

• Basic SQL database knowledge 
• Basic Databricks knowledge

• Basic Business Intelligence tool set experience, Power BI, Tableau, Reporting Services or similar  

• Knowledge of Python and familiarity with ML algorithms. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities 

• Commercial Real Estate knowledge a plus

About the Role 

The mission of the Data Analyst Intern, in partnership with the Product Team, is to successfully build analytic information tools, reports, and applications for the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) market.  We are searching for a Data Analyst Intern who can gather important company data and compile it into specifications that our teams can use to build world-class Analytic products. Should have the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and translate business data into digestible information that will be consumed by various development teams. Candidates should be able to analyze and solve issues that arise from internal users regarding all aspects of CoStar Analytics. 

Responsibilities include: 

• Understanding the CoStar business, the goals of our products, and collaborating with the Product team in the creation of those products 

• Assist writing acceptance criteria for user stories that contain key information for the development team to do their work   

• Maintain direct channels of communication with the product team 

• Responding to analytic specific issues that are raised by internal 

• Identifying and document business trends utilizing real data that will support new features and applications 

• Documenting user requirements and business rules to be used in application development 

• Hands on work in SQL as well as BI toolsets on a regular basis.
