Point of contact for all field or customer escalations related to Magnets, Gradient Coils, and Body Coils.
Travel globally to resolve field issues and mentor/train local field teams.
Identify opportunities for safety, quality and productivity improvements and drive design and implementation to address those opportunities.
Planning resources and materials for timely NPI program execution. Preparation and execution of Engineering Validations and Verifications, processing, submitting, and routing for approval the experimental data obtained.
Defining procedures for field modifications, calibrations, and part replacements and issuing Service Notes
Preparation and delivery of In-class, On-Job or remote trainings for Service Team as an Instructor to share the knowledge and leverage the overall team proficiency.
Creation, maintenance and managing Service Documentation (Service manuals, Technical Bulletins, Training materials) in accordance with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
Attending Safety and Quality investigations, corrective actions development, documenting and implementation. Working closely with Design Engineering for new product introduction (NPI). Support new product pilot installations.
Support new product regulatory clearance process as needed
Leading service related productivity projects. Management of tools and parts introduction and obsolescence. Interaction with Suppliers, processing Supplier Change Requests. Providing technical support for regional MRI manufacturing localization programs.
Setting FRU strategies and interfacing with external organizations such as GPRS and Service Operations
Interface with field personal such as OLEs and RSEs to gather feedback on serviceability and channel those to NPIs as requirements working with Service Architect
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Physics or Associates Degree or High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years with customer facing GE MRI Field Support. Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and acquire images utilizing MRI scanner.
10+ years of hands on experience and knowledge with Magnets, Gradients, and Body Coils, including working knowledge and experience using cryogenics for an MRI application.
Ability to travel globally up to 25%, including overnight stays.
Experience leading technical team in the troubleshooting and problem resolution for MRI systems
Experience working in cross-functional relationships with strong and demonstrated writing, influential, and communication skills
