The Continuing Education (CE) Administrative Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining the credentialing of continuing educational offerings for medical professionals through Shepherd Center and the NeuroRehabilitation Learning Institute (NRLI). This role ensures quality customer service to medical providers around the world that participate in educational offerings through Shepherd Center and NRLI. The CE Administrative Coordinator supports the Director of Professional Education in marketing continuing education offerings, outreach strategies, brand recognition of Shepherd Center, and manages daily operation for the office of Alliance Education.

CE Administration (80%)

o    Prepare and submit CE applications and renewals for multiple accrediting bodies (ie. APTA-GA, CCMC, LPCA, GSCSW, CCRC, NCTRC, etc.) for continuing education credit.

o    Maintain approval schedule for each course across each agency specific to each agency.

o    Manage CE renewals per course per agency for 1, 2, 3 and 5-yr renewals

o    Develop CE Certificates, handouts and resources for each educational offering in support of LMS Administrator.

o    Ensure accuracy of CE planning documentation, support files and approval data in storage database.

o    Ensure accurate reporting of attendance and evaluation summary data for live events to approving agencies: ASHA, GSCSW, LPCA, and APTA-GA, etc.

o    Ensure accurate reporting of attendance and evaluation summary data for enduring events to approving agencies: ASHA [monthly] and GSCSW, LPCA and APTA, etc [annually].

o    Coordinate support communication regarding in-services and proctored sessions, with trauma centers to ensure excellent customer service. This includes documentation, training and reporting per request and follow-up with Access Case Managers.

o    Maintains and updates course assets, attendee records and support documents per educational and storage policies, as needed.

o    Assists with coordination of educational events (live registration, monitor virtual quality of audio/visual elements, space and venue details)

o    Maintains good customer relationship with credentialing bodies, learners and all customers affiliated with educational offerings.

o    Duties as assigned.

 

Marketing (15%)

o    Supports Director of Professional Education in promoting Shepherd Center and NRLI at 2-3 national conferences.

o    Facilitates relationship procurement between health care professionals external to Shepherd Center, Director of Professional Education, Access Case Managers and Shepherd Center resources.

o    Provides outreach as follow up from national conferences and NRLI In-services to increase engagement and Shepherd Brand awareness.

o    Orders promotional items for distribution at national conferences, virtual events and local conferences.

o    Monitors, maintains and reports monthly supply to director.

o    Duties as assigned.

 

Office Management (5%)

o    Monitor/maintain supplies and supports the staff for the office of Alliance Education.

o    Manages invoices and expense reports related to Alliance Education.

o    Manages meeting agenda/minutes for Education Planning Committee.

o    Provides room and event management including logistics, food and 3rd party suppliers.

o    Coordinates travel, as needed.

o    Duties as assigned.

Required Minimum Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor of Science/Arts (Preferred)
  • Demonstrated professional education enrichment in previously held positions

 Required Minimum Certification:

  • Certified Healthcare CPD Professionals (CHCP) (Preferred)

Required Minimum Experience:

  • 1-2 years' experience marketing or office support tasks.
  • 3-5 years’ academic or related field experience in healthcare continuing professional development

Required Minimum Skills:

  • Must be proficient in Office 365, Adobe Acrobat Pro, advanced Excel capacity.
  • Must be self-directed with demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • High degree of judgement and independent decision-making.

Physical Demands:

  • Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time or exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
