Banner Staffing Services (BSS) offers Registry/Per Diem opportunities within Banner Health. Registry/Per Diem positions are utilized as needed within our facilities. These positions are great way to start your career with Banner Health. As a BSS team member, you are eligible to apply (at any time) as an internal applicant to any regular opportunities within Banner Health. When working per Diem you must work at least 2 shifts a month.

We're seeking a compassionate individual to deliver nutritious meals to homebound seniors in the Sun City, Sun City West, and Surprise areas. In this rewarding role, you'll not only provide essential meal delivery services but also brighten someone's day through friendly conversation while conducting daily wellness checks. Delivery experience and familiarity with GPS/navigation tools are a plus, but what we truly value is your excellent customer service skills and caring attitude. You'll also be responsible for maintaining our agency-provided vehicle, including keeping it fueled and clean.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position transports food from the main kitchen to and from assigned facility and various locations as needed in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols. Works as a member of the food service team on one or more assignments in cleaning, food preparation, or retail café. Provides service and assistance to patients, staff and other customers in accordance with established dietary and retail cafe policies and procedures.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Transports food safely and efficiently between various facilities following appropriate safety and Health Department policies.
2. Delivers food to various facilities. Assist facilities in putting the delivery away and picks up materials such as, but not limited to, vendor invoices, cashier forms, and other miscellaneous items, to and from assigned facility and other businesses within the assigned area.
3. Inspects vehicle on a daily basis and ensures vehicle is in good running condition and scheduled maintenance (e.g. gas, oil, tuned, washed, vacuumed, etc.) has been completed. Reports all mechanical problems or concerns to immediate supervisor.
4. Maintains accurate log of vehicle runs and all other vehicle activity.
5. Cleans and sanitizes dishes, flatware, trays, cups, glasses and cooking utensils. Also cleans and sanitizes designated equipment and kitchen areas disposing of all waste materials. Monitors dish machine temperature.
6. May deliver meals, nourishments; return excess nourishments as requested. May also assist in catering or special event service.
7. May handle transactions at cash register (if applicable) and/or cafe.
8. Sets up work station and prepares all assigned foods and nourishments in the correct quantities, following established procedures, portion control and food quality standards. Assures that food presentation continually meets standards.
9. This position interacts with other food service department personnel, hospital staff, patients and families. Requires the ability to follow a work routine with regular supervision, to work quickly and correctly while providing good customer service and maintaining sanitation standards. The work requires the ability to follow instructions and guidelines for the use of cleaning chemicals and be able to work in physical contact with them.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
This position requires the ability to learn and follow established policy and procedures, read and understand written and verbal instruction, to communicate effectively and to provide customer service. Must be able to learn food handling regulations and pass certification tests as required. Must be able to operate company owned vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under the company’s auto insurance policy with an excellent driving record.
Employees working at Olive Branch Senior Center must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card at the time of hire and maintain the card for the duration of their employment.

Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
