Summary:

This position reports to the machining supervisor and runs a variety of machinery to produce, inspect and pack quality product. Performs basic machine maintenance and cleaning. Completes proper paperwork and documentation in accordance with Pace work instructions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Produces, inspects and packs quality part.
• Detects and reports defective materials and/or questionable conditions.
• Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Follows prescribed safety standards.
• Meets and documents production rates on an hourly basis.
• Performs all Red/Green check list duties.
• Some Statistical Process Control (SPC) may be required.

Position Requirements:

• Experience with basic machining functions preferred.
• Ability to take instruction and constructive criticism.
• Demonstrates good communication and interpersonal skills in order to work effectively in a team environment.
• Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken, in order to read and interpret work instructions and other job-related documentation.
• Must be able to perform simple match calculations.
• Must have ability to use basic handheld measuring tools.
• Must wear prescribed PPE.
• Must follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Must be quality conscious and willing to support Pace policies.
• Reliable and punctual attendance. 

Physical Demands (if any) and Working Conditions:

• Normal plant environment. Must be able to stand for up to a minimum of eight hours.
• Light to moderate physical effort is required, including repetitive bending, twisting, and turning and lifting, inspection and packing parts that weigh up to 35 pounds.
• Heavy lifting is required on occasion. (50 lbs or over)
• May be exposed to a number of elements, such as coolant, metal shavings, hot temperatures, etc., but with none present to the extent of being hazardous.
• Continuous mental and visual attention is required.
