Job Description

Project Details:

Develop labor vouchering and scanning system.
Work order Kaizen to attempt to streamline process of issuing work orders
Help design work orders ( job travelers ) with bar coding
System installation on shop floor and integration with SAP
Kaizen event to simulate process + Implement
System training

Project Outcomes:

Implement labor vouchering and scanning system.
Upgrade work orders ( job travelers ) with bar coding
Facilitate system installation on shop floor and integration with SAP
System training with shop floor employees to maintain sustainability
Will have conducted 2 Kaizen events

Primary Skills Developed:

Process management skills 
People "soft" skills management
Lean "Kaizen events" experience
Information system integration
Employee training skills

Basic Qualifications:

Pursuing an undergrad in manufacturing or mechanical engineering

Minimum of 3.0 GPA

Ability to work Monday - Friday 7:00AM to 5:00PM

Desired Qualifications:

Ability to work within a team environment
Ability to work independently 

Internship Term Dates:

May/June - August 2026

Expected Work Schedule:

Day/1st -Shift (40 - hours weekly)

The pay for this position ranges from $25-29/hr. based on years of undergraduate/graduate field of study completed

This position is also eligible for:

• Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.
• Housing Allowance: Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern’s permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.
• Employee Assistance Program, providing 24/7 confidential assessment, counseling and referral services
• GE Retirement Savings Plan (RSP) after their accumulated service reaches 90 days, and they meet any other eligibility requirements as defined in the plans. (Eligibility occurs on the 1st of the month following the 90th day.)
