Single point of contact for technical issues for the customer and project manager.
Track overall status of all project deliverables, support all engineers to solve technical issues and make sure team’s overall goal is achieved.
Responsible for leading and coordinating all balance of plant technical aspects of energy storage projects, including developing single line drawings and schematics, plan and elevation drawings, general arrangement and site layout, relay protection and control requirements, layouts for LV/HV equipment, conduit, cable, wiring, grounding, and control buildings. In addition, as the technical leader for assigned engineering projects or a program of projects, responsibilities also include activities such as schedule development and updates, supporting sourcing initiatives, planning and tracking project design reviews, quality control/quality assurance, and contractor management.
Work across the Hybrid engineering and services organizations to prepare documentation for installation, commissioning, and operations for use by internal GE employees and our customers.
Drive performance and reliability enhancements back to the product
Coordinate with sourcing and the project team on technical matters to meet project specifications, cost control objectives, and schedule objectives. Accountable for team results to deliver a high-quality product to customer requirements on time and on or under budget.
Define processes and procedures, perform RCAs (Root Cause Analysis), perform corrective actions, and validate process control. Support quality and standardization initiatives.
Develop, improve, and administer customer overview and operational training material for the control system.
Required Qualification & Experience
Bachelor/Master degree in Electrical /Electronics/Instrumentation/Controls Engineering / Science from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 15+ years of technical experience in leading large scale engineering projects, EPC, detailed engineering, Simulation models, Power Electronic equipment’s, Power system, Product design, Control software design/development/implementation and site experience.
Expertise in Solar, Energy storage, Plant level system, Inverter, Transformer, RMU, BOP plant equipment’s validation and verification, AC/DC cable sizing, Over all systems integration, etc.
Experience in various countries grid code compliance particularly Australian grid code, PLQ & AEMO requirements, UK, USA, European, Germany, Itali, Turkey & India grid codes.
Worked in any power generation industry like renewable, thermal, nuclear etc.
Experience in communication networks equipment’s functionality, Selection, Software features and Hardware & Cyber security.
Experience in implementation of controls or systems integration in products and field engineering experience
Experience in interpreting power system design output such as: SLDs, LV & MV Protection & Co-ordination / Voltage Drop / Dip Calculations / Load Flow and Fault Studies / Arc Flash Calculation/ Transient System and scenario analysis / Harmonic (VTHD) calculations / MV & LV power system cabling (cable selection, rating etc.) / Quality of Power Supply / EMC.
Design system/equipment to meet reliability, testing standards, manufacturability, material and cost guidelines
Have close interaction with project managers, various internal teams and customers to finalize engineering requirements with respect to contract scope and deliver the same to ensure customer satisfaction.
