Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs a variety of diagnostic imaging, nuclear medicine and PET procedures for patients of all ages. Administers radiopharmaceuticals to patients for imaging physiological processes and anatomic structures. Serves as the principle resource for Radiation Safety and ensures the proper storage and control of all radioactive sources.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Licensure/ Certification:

  • Current certification in Nuclear Medicine, American Registry of Radiologist Technology (ARRT) (N) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) and California Radiologist Technologist (CRT) License required.

  • Associate's Degree or other equivalent education and/or experience required.

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.


Knowledge:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in acute care setting preferred.
