Montgomery College, Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus, has an immediate need for a full-time, 40 hours/week, Nursing Lab and Clinical Associate who will guide and reinforce skills with students in the Nursing Skills Lab. The regular schedule is Monday – Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., with the possibility of substituting weekdays for one or two Saturdays per month, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., to accommodate student and program needs over the course of each semester.
This is a non-bargaining, non-exempt, grade 29 position. For non-exempt positions, you are not eligible to work a secondary job at Montgomery College. Under supervision and/or direction, incumbents in this position oversee students using national standards of care and Lab Manager and faculty approved standardized evaluation criteria. Through the use of standardized criteria, Lab Manager and faculty direction, and scope as a registered nurse, the incumbents guide students in practicing patient care skills and consult with the Lab Manager and Course Coordinator regarding any student weaknesses.
General services include, but are not limited to: providing an educational environment where student end of program outcomes are promoted through demonstrating nursing skills with competence; developing and replicating skills simulation models that promote achievement for all students and professional growth for faculty; creating positive and safe physical, social, and working environments that facilitate learning; increasing capacity to support growing student enrollment; promoting community awareness of the College nursing program by developing relationships with interested persons and organizations; and incorporating cross-cultural knowledge and diverse learning styles into simulated clinical practice. Regular contacts include faculty, staff and students.

Hiring Range: $34.84-$45.29 per hour. Initial salary placement for new hires falls between the minimum and midpoint of the range and is based on relevant candidate experience and internal equity. The maximum salary for this position is $55.75 per hour.
