Montgomery College has an immediate need for a full-time Financial Aid Specialist. The position is located in Rockville, Maryland at Central Services Administration. The typical work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00pm. Some evenings and weekends may be required. This is a non-exempt, bargaining, grade 25 position.
For non-exempt positions, you are not eligible to work a secondary job at Montgomery College. One (1) day of telework may be granted based on the needs of the unit.
The Financial Aid Specialist will perform administrative and technical activities of financial aid programs. Duties encompass a variety of processes and methods. Decisions require judgment regarding possible courses of action based on established guidelines. Follow established office procedures and assist counselors.
Contacts are with college faculty, staff, current and prospective students and family representatives, general public, external agencies including lending institutions and government agencies.

Required Qualifications
Hiring Range: $28.79-$37.42 per hour. Initial salary placement for new hires falls between the minimum and midpoint of the range and is based on relevant candidate experience and internal equity. The maximum salary for this position is $46.04 per hour.
