Expo Cook (Part-Time) – The Garden Restaurant | $17–$18/hr!

Join the culinary team at The Garden Restaurant, a warm and welcoming dining destination overlooking beautiful Temple Square in downtown Salt Lake City. We’re looking for an organized, dependable Expo Cook to help keep our kitchen running smoothly and ensure every dish that leaves the line meets our quality and presentation standards. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to learn the rhythm of professional restaurant operations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Coordinate completed food orders from different stations for accuracy and presentation
• Ensure dishes meet quality standards before they leave the kitchen
• Communicate clearly with both kitchen and front-of-house staff to maintain timing and service flow
• Assist with garnishing, labeling, and plating as needed
• Keep the expo line and window area organized, clean, and efficient
• Support cooks and servers during busy service periods
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen
• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience a plus (but not required!)
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Calm under pressure and focused on teamwork
• Eager to learn and grow in the culinary field
• Professional appearance and consistent punctuality

COMPENSATION

$17.00 – $18.00/hour. This range is inclusive of multiple job levels. Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to evaluation of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with market data.

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform light to moderate lifting
• Additional duties as assigned by management
