The Advanced IT Generalist is a technology professional proficient in many facets of information technology, without a single defined specialty. However, due to the nature of the Emergency Response business line, the Advanced IT Generalist becomes a specialist across these facets, resolving and troubleshooting a wide range of systems and issues. The role manages and supervises CTEH IT Support Services, ensuring that all technology resources and solutions are readily available for employees and for emergency response operations. Additionally, the Advanced IT Generalist serves as a subject matter expert in identifying solutions and assembling the right technology resources to support emergency response projects or special client requests. The position also requires expertise in telecommunications and emergency response IT support and services.

ACTIVITIES/TASKS/SCOPE
Conducts audits and tries to reduce IT costs without impacting Emergency Response Readiness
Oversees FirstNet/Administrator, telecommunication and data device management and services for CTEH,
Deploys Satellite/portable cell tower/services and other telemetry resources
Manages 24/7 365 direct IT Support services for Emergency Response services and field employees
Oversees Procurement of IT resources for CTEH and budgeting costs and software licenses
Actively coordinates with various CTEH departments, employees, and Senior management to address and find solutions to business line technology issues technical or financial
Acts as an IT Business Partner between Montrose Corp IT and CTEH, making sure Montrose Corp IT is updated on issues or infrastructure support where Montrose Corp IT can assist and take the lead in resolving
Acts in the role of an IT/SME Emergency Response consultant when needed to support Emergency Response Services or CTEH
Assists when needed to support the company multi-tasking Technology role to be able to set up computers and basic office environment software
Solve, troubleshoot, or find solutions to problems or issues that will affect business effectiveness, emergency response support in addition to maintaining response readiness dealing with technology technical issues these would include software, hardware, basic networking, telecommunication and general onboarding/offboarding administrative responsibilities in office or field environmental in addition to providing 24/7 on-call support when needed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Computer skills – Windows Operating system, MAC IOS, Active Directory, PowerShell, Microsoft Entra, Microsoft 365 Office Administrator, Microsoft 365 apps, Teamdesk, Apple IOS, Android, FirstNet/Verizon/AT&T, Telecommunication e-sims, sims information systems data, VOIP, cell and satellite. Good understanding of Networking adapting and learning new environmental technologies or systems and programs when needed/reviewing system manuals
Customer service skills - provide consistent customer service, always ensuring customer satisfaction or resolution to a problem has been met
Attention to detail – Being cognizant of every detail that goes into network security, software upgrades, and other tasks to avoid potential issues and downtime for company computer systems
Troubleshooting – Computer Hardware, Software, analyzing and defining problems while identifying solutions
Project Management: Lead IT projects from inception to completion, including planning, resource allocation, scheduling, and coordination with stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes
Technical Expertise: Serves as a subject matter expert in various areas of IT, including but not limited to networking, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and enterprise systems
Vendor Management: Evaluate and select external vendors and service providers, negotiate contracts, and oversee the delivery of IT products and services to meet business requirements
Risk Management: Assess IT risks and vulnerabilities, develop risk mitigation strategies, and implement controls to safeguard the organization's IT assets and data
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization of IT systems and services to enhance efficiency, reliability, and performance
Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to IT security, privacy, and data protection
Budgeting and Cost Control: Prepare and manage the IT budget, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high-quality IT services
Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to understand their IT needs and requirements and develop solutions to support their business objectives. (IT Business Partner with Montrose Corp IT)
Knowledge of budget control methods, policies, and procedures
Manage a budget and work within the constraints of that budget
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic
planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
Skill in monitoring/assessing the performance of self, other individuals, or
organizations to make improvements or take corrective action
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement IT strategies, policies, and procedures to support the organization's goals and objectives
Direct and organize program activities
Establish program goals and objectives that support the strategic plan
Effectively plan and delegate the work of others
Plan, assign, and/or supervise the work of others
Train and mentor others in Emergency Response Technology Skillsets
Working and documenting support tickets in a ticketing management structure
Developing and overseeing the installation of systems, which include software and hardware.
Delegating tasks and developing budgets and work schedules
Staying up to date with field advancements
Expert in Telecommunications and Data solutions for clients, business, or emergency response needs
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & CREDENTIALS
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience of 6+ Years in Technology Support/Management, Infrastructure Management and Operations Management or a collective combination of all three
Several years of experience in a senior-level IT role, with a proven track record of leadership and project management
Advanced knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems administration, networking, and security principles
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Proven Emergency Response Field experience, understanding of ICS (Incident Command Structure) and coordinating resources in stressful and fast paced environments that are mission critical working with multi technology services and resources
